June 8-9, 2023 Kinshasa Impact Job Days

The definition and implementation of a policy for the sustainable use of this natural environment, compatible with conservation objectives, requires many skills and good coordination of all the actors.

World Resources Institute (WRI) research from 14 forest-rich countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia concludes that communities "maintain or enhance the carbon storage of their forests" when they own them.
 

June 5, World Environment Day

Under the auspices of the United Nations, World Environment Day 2021 will be held this year in Pakistan. Its theme is "Restoring Ecosystems" and it will focus on restoring our relationship with nature. With the motto "Re-imagine - Recreate - Restore", it will also mark the official launch of the UN Decade for Ecosystem Restoration 2021 - 2030.

9 August, International Day of the World's Indigenous People

Indigenous peoples are "the descendants of those who inhabited a country or geographical area at a time when population groups of different cultures or ethnic origins arrived there and subsequently became dominant, through conquest, occupation, colonisation or other means". Indigenous peoples now number 476 million in 90 countries.
