>  This website is the internet portal of the french NGO "Le Monde des Bonobos", created on December 12, 2018 and recognized as being of general interest in February 2020.
It has the following vocations :

• to make the public discover the Congolese universe (past and present) and more generally the threats which weigh on the equatorial african rainforest to better understand the stakes and the levers which can influence the future ;

• to promote research and action projects centered on the rainforest of the Congo Basin - where bonobos are endemic and threatened - aimed at promoting eco-responsible and sustainable development ;

• to collect donations from private patrons necessary for our actions and to return the results to them ;

• to offer a scientific knowledge base covering the subject for educational or research purposes.

> Many international organizations are concerned with ecological balances at the global level. For our part, we want to give a voice to local communities directly confronted with environmental problems and contribute to a virtuous resolution by supporting them in their efforts to sustainably preserve this environment.

>  Our association searches for and contacts researchers, NGOs or associations whose activity falls within the circles of our areas of interest in order to study their projects, assess their interest and funding needs.
The projects that we deem eligible benefit from an Agreement establishing the obligations of each of the contracting parties.

> Our mission is to advertise them, raise the funds necessary for their realization from private patrons and deliver the funds according to the conditions provided for in the said Agreement, check the smooth running of the project in fine with a control of the expenses over resource allocation.

>  Our french “Law 1901” type association is philanthropic, not commercial. It is not intended to make a profit.
Limiting operating costs and intermediaries, we want to be able to allocate more than 90% of the funds collected to concrete actions.

> The conditions are detailed in the statutes of the association.
To sum up, anyone who contributes either through their action in favor of the association, or through an annual cash donation of more than €50 can become a member after validation of their application by the Board of Directors.

>  Carrying out our project requires many skills :

• scientists in the fields of ecology, economics, agronomy, biology, etc. for rigorous analysis and management of projects ;

• in communication to bring the content of our website to life and improve the impact of our campaigns ;

• in management and logistics to organize our action in practice.

>  But everyone can do what they want.
The simple fact of being an “ambassador” and bringing our project to the attention of those around you is a valuable asset for the development of our association. Do not hesitate to contact us via our form.

>  One-off donations can be made via the dedicated PayAsso portal that we have set up. This is the simplest means of payment because you directly obtain the Receipt associated with this donation intended for your tax administration.

>  But you can also make a donation by transfer to our association account.

You are a taxpayer in France

>  When you complete your tax return online or by form, you must enter the total amount of your annual donations on the line provided for this purpose (box 7VA). Whether you send your declaration by post or do it online, it is no longer necessary to attach your tax receipt to your declaration. However, you will need to keep it since the administration may ask you for it later.

>  According to article 200 of the french General Tax Code (Amending Finance Law - April 24, 2020), each donation for the benefit of our association entitles you to an income tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount of the sums taken in the limit of 20% of taxable income.
